I have been employed with UISD since 2008 and completing 15 years of service this past  school year. I taught in the Resource setting for 12 years and presently I am a self-contained teacher in the FLS unit.  

I started teaching in 2012 in Lamar Bruni Vergara M.S. I Love teaching in the area of Special Education. I enjoy learning new things everyday and most of all learn from our students the most and instill knowledge and focus on the abilities of all students rather than their disabilities. 

I have been happily married for 26 years and have 5 wonderful children. 

I love to spend time with my family and friends. My hobby is helping at my parish and our youth. 

When I am not teaching I love to spend time in my garden and traveling with my children and making memories as they get older. My youngest son was diagnosed with Autism in Dec. 2021 and I have learned so many things from him and best of all I will be his advocate just like I will advocate for all my students as well. 

Being a Mom is my greatest Blessing and Joy!!
