I have been employed with UISD since 2008 and completing 14 years of service this past  school year. I taught in the Resource setting for 12 years and presently I am a self-contained teacher in the FLS unit.  

I started teaching in 2012 in Lamar Bruni Vergara M.S. I Love teaching in the area of Special Education. I enjoy learning new things everyday and most of all learn from our students the most and instill knowledge and focus on the abilities of all students rather than their disabilities. 

I have been happily married for 25 years and have 5 wonderful children. 

I love to spend time with my family and friends. My hobby is helping at my parish and our youth. 

When I am not teaching I love to go see my son play any sport he might be playing and spend time with my girls as well. My youngest son was diagnosed with Autism in Dec. 2021 and I have learned so many things from him and best of all I will be his advocate just like I will advocate for all my students as well. 

Being a Mom is my greatest Blessing and Joy!!
