Career and technical education instruction provides content aligned with challenging academic standards
and relevant technical knowledge and skills for students to further their education and succeed in current
or emerging professions.


The Digital Media career cluster focuses on careers in designing, producing, exhibiting, performing,
writing, and publishing multimedia content including visual and performing arts and design, journalism,
and entertainment services.


Careers in the digital media career cluster require a creative aptitude, a strong background in computer
and technology applications, a strong academic foundation, and a proficiency in oral and written
communication. Within this context, students will be expected to develop an understanding of the various
and multifaceted career opportunities in this cluster and the knowledge, skills, and educational
requirements for those opportunities.


Students are encouraged to participate in extended learning experiences such as career and technical
student organizations and other leadership or extracurricular organizations.  All students enrolled in my class will be expected to obtain an industry based certification through the Adobe Certified Associate program of Photoshop.
