  • Course Description: 

    Microsoft Office 2019: Introductory is intended as a required course on Office 2016 applications. This book introduces students to the fundamentals of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Word 2019, Microsoft PowerPoint 2019, and Microsoft Excel 2019. This course is 18 weeks long and you are awarded 1 credit upon completion. 

    The class is 70 minutes long – 5 days a week: 

    • Lecture/discussion 15 minutes
    • Guided Practice 15 minutes
    • Independent work 30 minutes
    • Exit Ticket - ACE Journal Writing 10 minutes

    Course Outcomes: 

    The objectives of this offering are to:

    • To introduce the fundamentals and offer an in-depth presentation of Microsoft Word 2019, Microsoft PowerPoint 2019, and Microsoft Excel 2019

    • To expose students to practical examples of the computer as a useful tool 

    • To acquaint students with the proper procedures to create documents, presentations, worksheets, and databases suitable for coursework, professional purposes, and personal use

    • To help students discover the underlying functionality of Office 2019 so they can become more productive

    • To develop an exercise-oriented approach that allows learning by doing
